It’s necessary for us to prepare ourselves well for the future to come. So, what should we do? Here ,I’ll point out some tips to help equip ourselves

　　First of all, recognize the direction of your future. In other word, think of what you’d like to be some day. A teacher ? A doctor ? A writer? Don’t afraid of thinking big and great .Since you are young , you can dream of doing anything and becoming anyone in the future

　　What’s more , never ignore the power of knowledge. Read more books and travel around. For one thing, it can increase your knowledge, for another, it’ll broaden your horizon.

　　Last but not the least , stick to your dream. It easier said than done. After all, future is not all roses. So, we should have enough courage and determination to overcome all the difficulties.

　　I firmly believe one sentence that‘If you think you can, of course you can!’Just believe we can make it! Keep on walking towards our dream. Flying youth ,master our future. From today, from now on ,from Duping Middle School ! Ready ?

　　The Importance of confidence

　　Whatever one does，one should do it with confidence。 If one has no confidence，there is little possibility that one would ever achieve anything，especially when one is faced with drawbacks or hardships。 This truth seems to be evident。 However，in reality we do see a lot of people who complain that they like the ability to do something or that their difficulties are too great to be overcome。 For someone，this might be true。 But for many others，this only shows that they have lost heart。

　　Why do people often feel frustrated even though they are capable of doing something？There are，among others，two main reasons。 First，these people do have a correct estimate of themselves。 Second，they overestimate the difficulties。

　　It is possible to build up faith in oneself by having the right attitude towards one’s abilities。 We should never underestimate one’s abilities。 But believe in the proverb：“Where there is a will，there is a way。” Confidence is the promise for fulfilling a task successfully。

　　she was very sad. because her mother had died and her father had married again. his new wife had two ugly daughters, esmerelda and griselda

　　"you must sleep in the kitchens." said the stepsisters.

　　there she had to do hard work from morning until evening, get up before daybreak(黎明), carry water, make the fires, cook, and wash. besides(除了) this, the sisters did everything imaginable(可以想象) to hurt her. they made fun of her. in the evening when she had worked herself weary(厌倦), there was no bed for her. instead she had to sleep by the hearth in the ashes(灰). and because she always looked dusty(尘土飞扬) and dirty, they called her cinderella.

　　"there are cinders(煤渣) all over your clothes!" exclaimed(喊叫) the stepmother. " cinderella. that's your new name. clear these things away, cinderella."

　　"cinderella! cinderella!" esmerelda and griselda said. "oh, how clever you are, mama!"

　　one day, an invitation(邀请) arrived from the palace.

　　"girls, listen to this," said the stepmother. cinderella was serving(准备) the breakfast. she listened as her stepmother read the invitation.

　　"the king is having a ball," she said excitedly(兴奋). "he is looking for a wife for the prince! oh, my dears, this is wonderful. he will probably choose one of you, but it will be such a hard choice to make.

　　"am i invited too, stepmother?" asked cinderella.

　　"you! certainly(当然) not!" exclaimed(惊呼) her stepmother. "the thought of such a thing. a scruffy servant(破旧的仆人) going to a ball, when only beautiful ladies are invited!"

　　"hah! hah!" laughed the stepsisters. "beautiful! that doesn't include you, cinderella!"

　　"you may help my two lovely girls to get ready," said her stepmother.

　　"oh," said cinderella

　　"we shall all have new dresses, girls, and we shall go shopping today. clear away these things, cinderella."

　　'oh, i wish i could go to the ball,' thought(认为) cinderella.

　　the day of the ball arrived and the whole day was spent preparing esmerelda and griselda. cinderella did her best to make the sisters look pretty, but it was an impossible task.

　　finally, the coach arrived to collect the girls and their mother.

　　cinderella was very tired and she wandered back to the kitchens.

　　"oh, i did so want to go," she sighed(叹气) as she sat down by the fire.

　　"what's to stop you?" asked a voice(声音).

　　"who's that?" asked cinderella, looking around.

　　"i'm here by the door." a strange woman walked up to cinderella. "i heard you the other day, wishing you could go to the ball. well, the ball is this evening, and you're going."

　　i wanna welcome everybody here in this cheer team. thank you for coming here this morning to stand on my side cheering me on. it’s my dream to have the opportunity to challenge all the foreign athletes to the championship at this great occasion: 20xx olympic games. now, the dream came true. as an athlete of china, i’m here to win the gold medal of orienteering for our motherland.

　　i’m so proud of being one of the best players in the world. but could you believe i had been a lazy girl when i was in junior high. i’m not kidding! at that time, running was my last favorite. i really don’t know how to describe the first time i was on the track. it was horrible. when i started to run, i was simply out of breath. and while i touched the finishing line, i really didn’t know if i was still alive. it’s so funny, huh? but it’s true, i did.

　　well, something happened and changed the situation. we won the right of holding the olympic games in 20xx. after that, sports became a kind of game in campus. and there are many sports clubs in school. one day someone asked me:“are you gonna try one of those?”first i felt so wired.

　　“try to get into sports clubs? are you kidding?” i said. and she goes: “why not?? it’s not hard at all, and so fascinating!” so i did tried one and i was so lucky to become one of those who did orienteering. that is a fantastic sport! you need to run and find where to go just by using a map and a compass. it’s wasn’t popular in china at first. but when we heard it might become a new event in 20xx, we did practiced hard, and aimed to win the first champion of orienteering in the world. when we practiced, there were a lot of troubles. you know, sometimes you need to go with your feet, but sometimes you need to go with your heart. in some situations, we faced the difficulties and problems. and we need to solve that through teamwork and strong willpower. so we can run faster, go higher and be stronger. that is what we say—olympic spirit.

　　now the dream came true. i’m standing here with all my body and my heart put in sports. so do the people from all over the world to here at the olympic games. it’s the olympic games that make us together. we are here for a big day of sport; we are here for a dream of sports. we are here for a spirit of sport that encourages us to face the difficulties of today and tomorrow.

You see, Thomas Edison is optimistic; if not, the light of hope in his heart could not illuminate the whole world. Alfred Nobel is optimistic; if not, the explosives and the prestigious Nobel Prize would not have come into being. And Lance Armstrong is also optimistic; if not, the devil of cancer would have devoured his life and the world would not see a 5-time winner of the Tour De France.

　　A rose may be beautiful, or maybe not; that depends on your attitude only, and so does success, so does life. 　　When I saw the titile of this essay I am supposed to be writing about, all I felt were its broadness and abstractness. Though I am a Chinese myself, it had always seemed complicated to tell how much exactly my nationality meant to me until that unforgettable experience in the Chinese Embassy at the U.K, which made a significant difference to my life. Only when I was abroad did I realize how proud I always was for my great country and clarify the relationship between China and me, referring it to that between a mother and a child desperate for help.

　　It was in the London Heathrow International Airport that our passports and airplane tickets were stolen a few minutes before the plane took off. Despaired and tired as we were, we wandered on the flourishing streets of London and felt isolated from all the nearby lighthearted laughters. It didn't take a long time for the lingering homesickness hit us and reminded us of the Chinese Embassy at the U.K that might be our sheet anchor. Ages passed while we walked to the embassy, suffering from hunger and helplessness with every step we took.

　　Sure enough, our eyes were unconsciously filled with tears when we finally reached the spot. I was taken by surprise when the brightly-colored Chinese national flag broke through the darkness and appeared once again in front of my eyes, recalling all the pleasure I had at home. It suddenly felt as if I was taken home, a home where all my fear and anxiety vanished and replaced by the hope and warmth that ran all over my body to cheer me up. The ambassadors were all amiable Chinese officers and the familiar Chinese accent drew me closer to my motherland where we received the only help. The ambassadors made us noodles in the familiar Chinese way and settled the accommodation for us. I had tears running down my cheeks when the hot noodles, smelled as pleasant as my mother's at home, filled my stiff empty stomach because I knew I was safe in the arms of my compatriots and there was no need to be worried anymore for I knew I was home.

　　We successfully returned to Beijing the next day and I still couldn't forget the moment when I felt so much closer to my motherland than any other time given, as though our hearts were beating in one melody. Had my motherland not saved the day, we would never came back home so quickly without any restriction. For that one brief second when I was handed the brand new passport with a Chinese flag printed on it, my heart was overflowed with the pride for my own nation because never has a country I known connected to its people so close as the way my motherland and us related. I was like a child, crying and desperate for help while my mother China is the harbor to hold me, this small vulnerable boat. Even though I was out of home, my motherland remained inseparated from me no matter how far I go and is always there to help me back on track whenever in need. I wish you a happy birthday, China.

　　I am so proud of you not only because of your obvious amazing pace in economical development, but also due to the relieved and warm way I felt when I was abroad and enjoyed your ray of love shone on my body and heart. You are the spirits dancing in my blood, the strength holding up my body and and essence making up my soul. I am so honored as a Chinese, a member of this dynamic and loving country.

　　For your development and future, it is my responsibility to settle you safely through all the numerous difficulties until we finally make it to the bank where happinese and prosperity is waiting. I love you, China, my dearest mother！

From this phenomenon, we can see not only do sports play a significant role in health, but also lay a solid foundation for human beings’ spirit.

　　Taking hiking for example, it’s a blend of man and nature completely way to travel, and also a kind of sports that not only need your physical strength, but also need the patience, perseverance and persistence. At the beginning of climbing a mountain, you’ll be exciting with the fantastic scene of mountain, river and water. However, after a half way, you’ll fell so tired and exhausted. The climbing road becomes more and more steep. At that time, it requires your persistence and determination to conquer arduous situations. It just likes the life, the closer the success is, the more difficulties you must endure.
